Does your child care program need urgent repairs or upgrades? The Immediate Needs Fund provides financial assistance to licensed child care providers facing unexpected regulatory or facility maintenance issues that could impact operations.
The Reno County Child Care Task Force understands that unforeseen challenges can disrupt child care services, affecting both quality and continuity. Our Immediate Needs Fund provides financial assistance to licensed child care providers facing unexpected regulatory or facility maintenance issues.
Whether addressing citations, replacing essential equipment, or making urgent repairs, this fund ensures that child care programs remain compliant, operational, and safe for the children they serve.
All approved projects must be completed by September 2026.
WHAT CAN BE FUNDED?
Urgent repairs to HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems
Replacement of broken essential equipment
Safety and regulatory compliance updates
Other critical facility maintenance needs that directly impact child care operations
HOW TO APPLY

Submit Your Application Online

Complete the Application Form

Include at least two vendor quotes for the needed repair or service.

Provide documentation proving the issue (regulatory notice, vendor statement, etc.).

Review Process

Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis by the Child Care Grants Committee.

A Task Force member may request additional information if needed.

Receive a Decision

Applicants will receive a decision via email within 6 weeks of submitting their application.

Payment
-
If approved, funds will be paid directly to the service provider completing the work upon submission of an invoice.

Follow-Up & Documentation
Providers must submit:

A photo of the completed work
-
A short impact statement on how the funds helped
Note: Funds are subject to fraud prevention and compliance requirements. Childcare providers who misuse funds may be disqualified from future funding and required to reimburse funds.
