Joy for Learning Sparks a Career

Tiffany Jones has been working in childcare for 13 years, the past 7 of which have been at the Early Education Center (EEC), which offers “masters-level preschool educators who know the art and science of development for ages birth through five.”

It was this love for learning and dedication to education that drew Tiffany to this position.

“I chose to work in early special education because the early years of a child’s life are critical for growth, learning, and building confidence. Being able to support children during this formative time allows me to help create strong foundations that can positively shape their future.”

Tiffany not only enjoys watching her students learn and grow; she appreciates the strong connections she’s able to make with their families.

“Early special education also gives me the opportunity to partner with families, celebrate progress both big and small, and advocate for inclusive environments where every child feels valued and capable.”

Tiffany’s nominator echoes her commitment to her students, and what it’s meant for the  EEC: “Tiffany is a warm, creative provider that brings joy and excitement to her children! She encourages children to express themselves, ask ‘why’ and become the best versions of themselves! Tiffany has been teaching at the EEC since 2019. During her time there, she has become a fan-favorite. The EEC wouldn't be the same without her.”

While the EEC has a long tradition of providing quality childcare and early education in Reno County, Tiffany is grateful to the Reno County Child Care Task Force for helping raise awareness about the importance of childcare, and for giving providers opportunities to network, receive training, and apply for grant funds.

“Without childcare, there isn't a community! It is important to support those who work with littles—they are our future.”

Tiffany recognizes that not everyone is called to work with young children, but highly encourages this career for anyone with the passion for it.

"Working with children is the absolute best! I love when their eyes light up with curiosity and they have the confidence to go out, make mistakes, and learn from themselves, their surroundings, and their peers! I am passionate about recognizing each child’s unique strengths, meeting them where they are, and providing the individualized support they need to succeed.”

Congratulations Tiffany! Your dedication to early education and the students and family you serve are a testament to the importance of strengthening childcare resources across Reno County.
