ABOUT US

The Reno County Child Care Task Force, based in Reno County, KS, serves as a beacon of education, information, and support to childcare providers in our county and the surrounding regions.

We are on a mission to revolutionize the child care system in Reno County, a region currently grappling with a substantial shortage in child care availability—there is an urgent requirement for approximately 1,800 additional slots.

Our vision is to establish a childcare system that caters to everyone—children, parents, providers, and businesses. We are committed to reshaping the current paradigm, constructing a childcare infrastructure that eliminates barriers, motivates proactive change, and fortifies trust within our community.

With the generous backing from Reno County and the City of Hutchinson, we are deploying over $6.2 million to innovate and strengthen the childcare framework in our region. This groundbreaking initiative is set to introduce new, expansive models, which will generate numerous additional childcare slots, enhance capacity, and significantly improve access to top-tier care for children from infancy through to school age.

By revolutionizing child care, we are not only alleviating substantial workforce barriers but also contributing to the development of a resilient and prosperous economy. Join us as we create a transformative impact, forging a future where quality childcare is accessible to all, and where every family can thrive!
